Congee Time

I went to Congee Time today after exchanging my boyfriend skates. Apparently, the sales associate from Play It Again at Yonge & Finch believed my boyfriend was a size 5... juniors!!!!
It turned out John actually was size 7 in mens...
We decided to drop by at Congee Time for Congee and turnip patties.

The Menu in Reverse Order. Sorry everyone.. :(

The Orange Juice tasted watered down.

This is a bowl of Salmon Congee! One of my favourite Congees! :D My boyfriend and I both wanted salmon congee so we ordered two. That was a mistake we both made. One bowl was enough for the two of us.

That's just the parsley on the congee.

Fried Rice Noodles with beef in Black Bean Sauce

Turnip Patties Singapore Style! I never really had turnips. I don't think there are a lot of Korean dishes which uses turnips so I wasn't really exposed to them. A friend ordered these at Congee Time and I fell in LOVE with Turnip Patties. They are soo good! I was like, "What the heck is so great about turnips?!"
The texture of these turnip patties are like a chewier potatoes but they are not gummy chewy. This dish will change your mind about turnips. :D

I decided to be open-minded and be aventurous and try a new dish. I have learned, next time I will ask what's in the dish before ordering. This was the glutinous rice dumpling. There was rice, some yellow bean powder (which was familiar. It tasted like this yellow bean powder Koreans use on a certain rice cake. ) and I think chicken. This dish came with some sort of soy sauce and a small bowl of sugar. Unfortunately, I wasn't too fond of this dumpling.

The food was good. Customer Service was good. The food came fast. I rate this restaurant 3.8/5.0.
