Pizzaiolo, Snakes & Lattes and Chicken

Hello everyone!

My diet is driving my crazy! I think its the fact that I am reducing my calories and I am more aware of what I eat, it making me crave more junk food.

Yesterday while I was on the subway with John, I asked him for some pizza. And I ended up influencing John to have some as well.

John and I have agreed he can only eat pork on pizza. It was horrifying in the beginning of our relationship how much meat he consumed on a daily basis.

I was hoping to order a veggie pizza but Pizzaiolo near Bathurst Station only had cheese pizza at the moment.

It was really good!

We played for about 5 hours at Snakes and Lattes. We played this game again.

Yes! We are horrible people!

We played a game called Evo/Evolution as Cesar reccomended. It was a good game. It was like a Zombie game (where there are Zombies spawning on the map and a group of human characters trying to kill the Zombies) but with Dinosaurs. It involves the Dinosaurs fighting, birthing, moving and surviving the climate changes. I would totally play this game again but next time I go to Snakes and Lattes, I need to stay for the whole day.

1. Ticket to Ride (Original, Europe, China and Nordic Countries)
2. Risk
3. The Settlers of the Stone Age (made by the people who made The Settlers of Cattan)
4. Clue
5. Power Grid: Factory Manager
6. Twilight Struggle

The strawberry milkshake was great!

I really wanted the razzberry cheese cake but I avoided ordering it. It was really hard to watch one of the girl who invited me and John describing how good her cheesecake milkshake was. She said it tasted exactly like a Razzberry Cheesecake but in a milkshake form.

We had our fun and it was time to go. We couldn't help notice this store called "Secrets from your Sister"

Apparently, they sold maternity bras.

Today's Breakfast: I had to finish chicken marinated in the weird sweet ginger sauce. I didn't like it.

I add barley to my rice for some fibre. John and I plan to start eating brown rice for a change.

Napoleon (Russian) Cake and Kill Doctor Lucky

Hello everyone!

Yesterday, my bestie came to visit Toronto. Her grandmother made Napoleon Cake, which was awesome! It looks flaky but it's a soft, slightly chewy, creamy cake and it's not sweet (my cavities ache when I consume something very sweet).

It's layered with the custard and pie pastry?

My friend's grandmother gave me some of the cake's custard but I forgot to take it from my friend's place. *Sniff Sniff*

Then we played one round of the game, Kill Doctor Lucky. Thanks Sonny for introducing me to this game. This game becomes more challenging the more players there are.

I played the lady with the poison that night.

We all agreed the White Room was the most racist room. Then my friend pointed out there was a Lavendar room which was even more racist, lol!

This was the card that won the game. Alina won.

Loblaw Bakery Department

Hello everyone!

Today, I was planning to see someone whom I used to work for and decided to bring a certain cake that he and I joke about. It was originally one of his favourite cheese cakes then it became one of my favourite cheese cakes of all time.

Sid would joke how much his son and I can eat. His son is just like me, he consumes way more food than you would initially think.

Behold! It's the Bailey's Cheesecake!
It's the only way to sneak in some Baileys while you're at work.

I haven't see a bakery department for about 6 months now. It's a beautiful sight!

I'm making Sweet Sesame Ginger

Hello everyone!

I haven't cooked chicken in about 4 years so I was a bit nervous making it today.

So far, I had marinated meat and the vegetables.

Chicken Breasts looks great in this photo right?

The Chicken breast actually looked more like this. I turned off my vivid colour mode on my Canon Camera.

Apparently unriped garlic turns green. I needed minced garlic so I manually peeled a dozen of garlic and put tossed it in a blender with some water and stored it in a glass jor in the fridge. It turned chlorophyll green! Its still edible.

I trimmed off the fat from the breasts and mixed onion powder, soy sauce, sesame oil and toasted sesame seeds, brocolli and thinly sliced potatoes. And of course, the sauce mix.

I hope it turns out alright tmr!

It turned out A-OK but not the greatest. Next time, I make this out of scratch!

I actually had to add 1 tablespoon of sugar because I ran out of Agave syrup.
It still didn't taste that great.
I'm never purchasing sauce mixes. They taste gross and I always regret it.
