Yeh! Frozen Yogurt

Hello Sweet Tooths!
Another late entry, I got a few more old blogs to go then I am all up to date.
I use Groupon occasionally and there was a 2 for 1 Groupon Coupon for frozen yogurt. For those who aren't familiar with Groupon, it's pretty much a coupon website/app that you can download to your phone or device. However, you purchase these coupons so you are pretty much getting a discount on whatever you are purchasing. You also need to pay for taxes if you are Canadian once you redeem these Groupon Coupons. My boyfriend thinks Groupons are such a waste of money but I think there are some really good services and goods you can find on Groupon. When I used to work at WINNERS retail store, I have tried a chocolate bar called Truffle Pig. I was enticed by the cute, lovely pig illustrations and I thought this was executed well. Who likes chocolate? Oinkers!

If you are an oinker for chocolates please visit the Truffle Pig Chocolate:
Sometimes, the Chocolates go on sale on their official website or as a special deal on Groupon.

Who makes up urban jargon?
FroYo=Frozen Yoghurt
So the frozen yogurt shops are standardized. They provide paper medicine cups open to the public for sampling.

I got the Greek Yogurt sweetened with Honey. I am a plain jane vanilla type of girl. I was contemplating with Greek Yogurt with Honey and Vanilla.

Candy Toppings
Those balls looked familiar. I remembered in New York in Red Mango (Another Frozen Yogurt Franchise) these balls popped in my mouth and they had syrup inside. And people thought Bubble tea tapioca was horrible.

Mmm... Cookie Dough and Cheese Cake. I kinda have a thing for both. I know. I'm going to be fat by the time I am 30 years old.

I guess this is the healthier toppings section.

In the end, Danny selected chocolate based toppings.
I could not resist the cheese cake topping!
I also wanted to try out the balls with syrup. I can't remember what these are called. Just a few in my yoghurt so I have a bit of an interesting experience of texture. It's hard to describe these balls without making it sound dirty or weird.
I would return to this place n the future! I would give this place 4.0/5.0. The environment was so clean and the staff members were so friendly. Too bad that I don't live near this Frozen Yogurt place but if I did, I would be visiting this place whenever I am having a craving for Ice cream or Frozen Yogurt.

Albert's Real Jamaican Foods

Albert's Real Jamaican Foods on Urbanspoon
Hello everyone!
This is another old collection of photos however, if you are a fan of Jamaican Foods, especially Rice and Peas, you need to visit this place.

So when I used to live near St. Clair and Bathurst, I always walked past Albert's Real Jamaican Foods restaurant but never tried out their food. When the restaurant got their kitchen door open to vent out the air, oh man! There is this delicious smell in the air. I bet this is one of their tactics to attract customers.

So what I usually like to order is Jerk Chicken and Curry Goat with Rice and Peas with their coleslaw.

For your information, the Rice & Peas has the Gravy on top (I think it's Oxtail gravy).

I have a thing for Rice and Peas. It probably originated from the Black Christian School I was raised in my early childhood. I thought the best thing on their item would be Rice and Peas or a Jamaican Patty.
Albert's Real Jamaican foods also sells Patties if you're interested.

Who knew Goat would taste this good! I thought goat would taste earthy and gamey but nope. It tasted like lean meat that sort of have the texture of a chicken but the meat is pink and fleshy.
This dish is not spicy.
It's a very very very flavourful and savoury dish.
In my opinion, I have compared a local Carribean restaurant (that had recently opened last year) Rice and Peas with Albert's Rice and Peas.
I preferred Albert's Rice and Peas because it was more flavourful. When you eat Albert's Rice and Peas, there are so many flavours and they work in unity so well!

Albert was in the newspapers several times and won awards which he proudly framed his accomplishments on the walls of his restaurant.

I wish there were more food competitions in Toronto.

This place is a 4.5/5.0. This place is well known in the St. Clair district. Around 5pm, that is when there is a huge line up of customers. The place is great for dine in. I would say there are approximately 16 chairs however I see most of the customers do take out or place an order over the telephone ahead of time. If you do order rice and peas, be sure to ask for the gravy on top! Bring a $20 for yourself. They also have good doubles (chickpea sandwiches). Another FYI, you will most likely have to wait for at least 10 minutes for your food but it will be worth it. The ladies behind the counter and friendly and they do acknowledge frequent customers.

Burrito Bandidos and Green Bamboo

Burrito Bandidos on Urbanspoon

Hello Foodies!
This is an old entry from last summer.
A friend of Danny's had introduced him to a burrito restaurant. It's more of a take out place than a dine in restaurant. There are only about 4-5 chairs and I did observed most of the customers picking up their orders and leaving.

Their Menu
Dan told me I MUST try their Fish Burrito. It is to die for!
I ordered the fish burrito and it wasn't as big as Much Burrito's Burritos'.

I took a couple of bites and it was like heaven! The fish was fresh as Fish and Chips Fish meat and it was so tender! It was absolutely delicious!
Mmmm... I wish I had a Fish Burrito right now! Too bad today is -30º.
I laughed when I saw "ED" because immediately thought of Erectile Dysfunction.

This was the best Burrito I've ever had in Toronto! I would give it 5.0/ 5.0. The burrito was smaller than Mucho burrito. However, Bandidos had flavoured packed burritos and their fish tasted fresh to me. I loved it! You might have to wait for about 10 minutes for your food. I did note that there were many take-out customers coming in to pick up their orders. They don't have a lot of seats so try to avoid rush hours if you would like to eat inside the restaurant.

Green Bamboo on Urbanspoon

I returned to Green Bamboo last summer before there was a steeping decline of quality in their food items. Last summer was when food was good. My last visit at Green Bamboo was about 3 months ago.

Vegetarian Spring Rolls

Laksa with Rice Noodles and Beef
Laksa with Rice Noodles and Chicken
There was barely any coconut milk but it was still good.
One day, I would like to learn how to many Coconut based soups.

I wouldn't recommend anyone going to Green Bamboo anymore.
My opinion had changed because their service is not improving. One time, I had ordered the Laksa and the tofu and the garlic was missing. Another time, they went cheap with the Laksa and tamarind sauce and the soup tasted like chicken broth and it was yellow.

Very Fair #3- Chinese Breakfast

Very Fair Chinese on Urbanspoon

Hello everyone!
I always wanted to try having a Chinese Breakfast and went to Very Fair this morning.

I don't know if this is helpful but Very Fair is located in the building on the left side if you're coming from the West.
I swear to God, I was the youngest customer there. It appears the clientele are mainly Chinese people 50 years or older. The owner arrived at the restaurant a few minutes when I had decided I wanted to leave. He just stared at me.
Jasmine Tea
Congee with Corn and Fish
The lady in the pink dress said something to me in Chinese. Oh by the way, if you do come in the morning, the ladies dressed in pink and red won't help you. They just serve fresh foods from their cart.
The servers in the yellow vest will assist you. And the ladies in black suits are called the Maître Ds.

Deep Fried Tofu in Rice Roll

Beef in Rice Roll

Beef in Rice Roll
I am unsure if it is parsley but I taste a fragrant herb. I know for sure they add water chestnuts to add a crunchy texture.

For some reason, the Deep fried tofu rice roll was challenging to eat. I am very comfortable eating with chopsticks. The rice roll was very fragile and it easily unraveled itself when I tried to eat it.
I like rice rolls in this order
1. Beef
2. Tofu
3. Shrimp
