Pastel Creperie & Dessert House

Hello Sweet Tooths !

This is another old blog. I'm trying to Blog as fast as I can and be all up to date. I have many more positive restaurant visits in Toronto that I would love to share with you guys.

So after I have visited with a friend to Home of Hot Taste near Doncaster and Yonge on November 28, 2014, We drove around Yonge and Finch area seeking for something sweet to satisfy her.

Personally, I have a salty tooth but I was open minded and wanted to see what else she thought was good.

We ended up parking near Pastel Creperie & Dessert House.
I liked it how a random female customer had her hands on her hips as she checked out the menu. This lady knows what she wants! ;P I joke. I really do not know her.

The place looked pretty spanking clean. It's like Mr. Clean has been here.

Please keep in mind that this is an old blog entry. They change their food and drink items from time to time. But this should give you a good concept of what they serve at their dessert house.

I was thinking about getting the mango mousse. I ended up wanting something fresh from their kitchen.

She recommended me getting a Cappuccino but I told her I usually drink coffee for educational or school purposes. So she got one for herself.

I believe this was called the Hawaiian crepe. It's no longer on their menu but I can remember exactly what they put in it.

A fresh crepe with canned pears and tangerine, something nutty such as toasted oats, small bits of  sponge cake pieces or grape seeds, whipped cream, pistachio ice cream and icing sugar

I could just stare at this forever!

I'll give you a small bite because it's that good.

Another brilliant, wonderful dessert!

Freshly made waffles, chocolate ice cream with a generous mountain of whipped cream (yeah, they don't mess around. Just the way I like it!), toasted oats, almond, serious graffiti with the chocolate syrup and a Canadian winter storm of icing sugar.

It looks like the whipped cream is taking shelter inside a waffle tent while it's snowing outside. It was delicious!

She said I must try this out!
Behold! It's Frosty Flakes - Green Tea!

A machine spits out this creamy green tea icy lace in a beautiful manner. A dallop of whipped cream with chocolate flavoured cookie crumbs sprinkled on top. A scoop of red bean jelly on the side. It was amazing! I first made a face because it looked weird. It reminded me of something from nature such as a caterpiller because it had that puke green colour to it. I didn't know it was green tea flavoured ice.

Once I have tried it, it melted in my mouth just like butter. It tasted like creamy light green tea in my mouth. I am unsure if it has dairy in it. I loved it! I'm just going to have to remind myself to ask next time I visit Pastel's.

I don't have to think twice. Hands down this place is a 5.0/5.0 cafe or dessert house. They know their desserts. Everything was delicious, fresh and wonderful. I would recommend anyone going there. Looking around most of their visitors were young, asian and some were students doing work on their laptops and notebooks. This place was super clean and well organized. I am definitely returning here some time.
